Appellate Practice

Forman Perry regularly handles appellate matters before the
state and federal courts, as well as handling complex post trial
motions which have resulted in reversals of adverse jury
verdicts prior to appeal.

Antitrust Trade Regulation and Unfair Competition

Forman Perry's attorneys provide counsel to businesses in the
area of trade regulation and compliance with state and federal
antitrust law. We counsel clients in avoiding claims of unfair
competition or claims of misappropriating trade secrets.
Forman Perry represents broker- dealers, manufacturers and
distributors of goods and services in state and federal court
actions to enforce non-competition agreements and to enjoin
former employees and/or officers from misappropriating trade
secrets of various businesses. Our lawyers also have
substantial experience in defending suits to enforce non-
competition agreements and claims alleging misappropriation
of trade secrets.

Asbestos

Forman Perry's presence in asbestos litigation on the local and
national fronts is unparalleled. The firm represents over one
hundred eighty asbestos clients in Mississippi in over 85,000
currently pending claims. In addition to Mississippi, the firm is
actively involved in representing clients in 23 states, with
particular emphasis in Texas and Louisiana. Currently, we are
actively defending over 250,000 individual claims nationwide.
Forman Perry lawyers serve as national counsel and national
trial counsel to a number of asbestos defendants.

Class Actions

Forman Perry's attorneys are experienced in handling all
aspects of class action litigation. We have extensive
experience in litigating the issues of class certification, class
and merits discovery, as well as negotiating and obtaining
approval for class settlements. Forman Perry's attorneys also
have extensive experience in appellate practice involving
decisions on issues concerning class certification on and all
other aspects of class action litigation.

Commercial Disputes

Attorneys in the firm are experienced in handling a full range
complex commercial disputes. We understand and appreciate

corporations, including clients in areas such as: lending and
public finance, transportation, telecommunications, real estate,
public utilities, securities, technology, manufacturing and
distribution, and others. We regularly represent our clients in
state and federal courts and before administrative agencies in
matters involving lender liability claims, contracts disputes,
shareholder disputes, securities fraud, antitrust claims, debtor-
creditor disputes, and others.

Drugs and Medical Devices

Attorneys in the firm have been involved in all aspects of drug
and medical device litigation. The firm's lawyers have defended
cases involving medical devices and have defended a broad
array of pharmaceutical claims. Forman Perry's attorneys have
also acted as National Coordinating Counsel in medical device
litigation involving major medical device manufacturers pending
in state and federal courts throughout the country.

Environmental

Our depth of litigation experience includes defense of claims of
alleged environmental contamination from myriad industrial
and oilfield operations involving various chemicals, PCBs,
BTEX/TPH, heavy metals, saltwater and naturally-occurring
radiation materials ("NORM"). We have handled claims
involving leaking underground storage tanks and other
hazardous waste matters pending before state and federal
administrative agencies and have been involved in the defense
of various PRPs at several Superfund sites. We are also
experienced in gas well blowouts and "toxic cloud" personal
injury and property damage litigation.

Financial Services

Forman Perry represents financial services providers including
banks, insurance companies, finance companies and other
types of lenders who are involved in consumer lending. These
claims involve allegations of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty,
truth-in-lending violations and other lender liability claims.

Insurance

Forman Perry represents insurance companies in many
different facets. The firm represents insurers in the third and
first party claims, coverage related issues, claims involving
commercial general liability (CGL), property, casual, automobile,
environmental and fleet insurance. The firm also has extensive
experience handling bad faith litigation.

Personal Injury

Forman Perry has a broad range of personal injury defense
clients. Our lawyers defend manufacturers, freight companies,
van lines, defendants in severe automobile and truck
accidents, entities sued for injuries relating to industrial
accidents and all other types of personal injury claims.

Products Liability

From the firm's inception, Forman Perry has enjoyed a close
working relationship with manufacturers and insurers of
manufacturers in defending product liability cases. We have
successfully defended a full spectrum of products liability cases
from agricultural fertilizer to oil field chemicals, from rope to
appliances, from oil field equipment to sawmill machinery, and
all points in between.

Professional Negligence

The firm handles professional negligence claims including claims
alleging accounting, legal and medical malpractice. The firm's
litigation attorneys who handle accounting negligence claims
are certified public accountants and have been practicing
accountants in major public accounting firms. They use this
expertise in prosecuting and defending accounting malpractice
claims. The firm's attorneys who defend medical doctors and
attorneys in claims involving allegations of professional
negligence have substantial expertise in this field of practice.

Silica

Forman Perry's expertise in asbestos litigation bridged the way
for the firm's involvement in silica litigation. Forman Perry is
involved in silica litigation nationally and represents numerous
defendants, including companies which sold sand, sandblasting
equipment, respiratory protection devices and air compressors.
We are also national counsel for three silica defendants.

Toxic Torts

Like the industrial mass torts involving asbestos, silica and
welding, the firm also is actively involved in other toxic tort
litigation. We currently defend cases involving lead paint, mold,
PVC, PCB and wood preservation.

Welding

For many years, the firm has represented a number of
defendants in lawsuits brought by welders alleging injuries
from exposure to manganese fumes and asbestos. The firm's
involvement in the welding cases focuses on scientific and
medical aspects.


Business and Corporate Practice

General

Our business and corporate practice includes representation of
both privately-held and publicly-traded corporations in a wide
variety of industries. We regularly provide counseling to banks
and financial institutions, institutes of higher learning, real
estate investment trusts, manufacturers and distributors,
private foundations, public utilities, telecommunications
companies and other businesses. Members of our corporate
and commercial practice group work closely with clients to
understand and analyze the legal and business issues behind
the deal. This understanding allows us to provide our clients
with creative and cost-effective strategies and solutions for
complex transactions.

Lending

The firm regularly represents community, state and national
banking institutions in connection with commercial lending
activities. We represent insurance companies and other
national financing institutions as both lead and local counsel
with respect to loans in Mississippi. We also have extensive
experience representing borrowers in large multi-state
financings.

Real Estate

Our commercial real estate practice is national in scope. The
firm regularly represents NYSE-listed real estate investment
trusts and other companies in connection with acquisitions,
dispositions and financings. We have extensive leasing
expertise, having represented publicly-traded companies on a
national basis from a tenant's perspective as well as
representing several property owners.

Transactions/Securities

Forman Perry has substantial experience in business
acquisitions and dispositions and in the formation and
operation of joint ventures. We have represented buyers as
well as sellers in a wide range of transactions, from asset and
stock transactions to mergers, acquisitions and corporate
reorganizations. Our securities practice includes experience in
both registered and exempt offerings as well as advising
clients on compliance issues.
